How it works
One button. Then just speak.
No prompts to answer, no blank page to fill, no streak to protect. You talk; your iPhone does the rest, and none of it leaves the phone.
Speak
Tap once and say what's on your mind — for ten seconds or ten minutes. Pick it back up later and the same entry keeps growing.
It listens
Your iPhone transcribes you on device, in the language you journal in. Fix a mis-heard word if you like, and it reflects again. English and Portuguese have category-aware fallback text; other supported locales use your own words only.
It hands it back
A short reflection after each entry. At the end of the week, what repeated and what shifted — in your own words, never advice.
The reflection
It notices. It never advises.
Three beats after every entry. Quiet, second-person, drawn only from what you actually said.
You're weighing a move you've mostly already decided on.
Restless at the start, steadier by the end.
You said "I already know" three times without noticing.
Mon 14:22 · written on device · no network
No account. No server. No analytics.
Onekept contains no networking code at all. Your recordings, your transcripts, and every reflection stay in the app's private container on your iPhone. The shared App Group carries only the derived widget snapshot, language code, and non-content state signals. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is measured, and there is no one to sell it to.
The week
On Sunday, it hands the week back.
Not a score, not a chart. Two movements — what repeated, and what shifted — assembled from your own entries and written on your device. Filter it to ideas, journal, or prayers; read it short or developed. A monthly summary is stored whole, or shown as a marked local fallback, never as a partial result.
Work came up on five of seven days, always in the evening. Sleep came up whenever work did.
You began the week asking whether to leave. By Friday you were asking when.
Everything else
Small app. Few switches. All of them off by default.
Continue an entry
Pick a thought back up later. Transcript, audio and reflection all grow with it.
Your language
Choose the language you journal in. English and Portuguese keep category-aware fallback text; other supported locales use your own words without inserted English.
Categories
Journal, ideas, prayers. Filterable, and the reflection takes the right tone for each.
Face ID lock
Optional. The app blurs the moment you leave it.
Siri & widgets
Start an entry without opening the app. A quiet line from a past entry on your Home Screen. Siri asks for local authentication before reading a private weekly summary.
Export
Everything you've written, as text or Markdown, whenever you want it. Never locked.
An archive you own
A plain folder of readable JSON and ordinary audio. Restore validates it and reports missing files or failed writes.
Audio playback
Hear any entry again, continued parts in order.
What it costs
Your words are free. Always.
Everything you need to keep a voice journal costs nothing and always will. The summaries — the part that keeps arriving, week after week — are free today, and are the part intended to pay for the work later on.

Questions
The things people ask first.
Does Onekept send my journal anywhere?
No. The app contains no networking code at all. Recording, transcription and reflections all run on your iPhone.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, no password. You open the app and speak.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The first entry in a given language downloads that language's speech model once. After that, everything works in airplane mode.
Which iPhones can write reflections?
Reflections are written by Apple Intelligence, which needs an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. On other devices Onekept uses a local fallback, so the app keeps working. English and Portuguese use category-aware wording; other supported locales use only text from the transcript, with no English inserted. Settings > Reflections > Diagnostics tells you which path ran.
What happens to my entries if a subscription ever lapses?
Nothing. There is nothing to pay for today, and that will not change retroactively: every entry, recording and reflection stays exactly where it is, and export is never locked. If paid summaries arrive later, a lapsed subscription would only stop new summaries being written.
Can I get my words out?
Yes, always, free. Settings exports everything as plain text or Markdown, and it is never behind a payment.
