Onekept has no account and no server, so there is nothing to log into and no password to reset. That also means the developer cannot see your journal, cannot recover it for you, and cannot look anything up on your behalf — the answers below are things you do on your own device.
It helps to say which iPhone you have, which version of iOS it runs, and what you were doing when the problem appeared. Please do not paste the contents of an entry — it is yours, and it is not needed to diagnose anything.
Onekept needs iOS 26 or later on iPhone.
The reflection is written by Apple's on-device model, which needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models and later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On any other iPhone, and whenever the model is unavailable or still downloading, Onekept writes the reflection with a built-in offline fallback instead. Either way the app works and nothing is sent anywhere.
That is the offline fallback. It appears when Apple Intelligence is off, still preparing, or unavailable on your device. Onekept tells you which path it took under Settings ▸ Intelligence.
Onekept can write your entries to a plain folder of Markdown files and audio. Use Settings ▸ Export, then move the folder wherever you like through the Files app — iCloud Drive, AirDrop to a Mac, or anywhere else. The export is readable in any text editor and is not locked to this app.
Recordings, transcripts and reflections live inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. Deleting an entry removes its recording with it. Deleting the app removes everything at once — iOS discards the whole container. Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is no second copy to chase.
Onekept assumes you journal in the language set under Settings ▸ Language, and the reflections and summaries come back in that language. If the output arrives in a language you did not expect, set that preference explicitly rather than leaving it to the device default.
Onekept can lock itself whenever it leaves the foreground, and ask for Face ID or your passcode on return. It is off by default and lives under Settings ▸ App Lock. If biometrics and a passcode are both unavailable on your device, the lock lets you through rather than trapping you out of your own journal.
